Please join us to view the documentary Fix It – Healthcare at the Tipping Point and for discussion to follow.  Fix It -Healthcare at the Tipping Point takes an in-depth look into how our dysfunctional health care system is damaging our economy, suffocating our businesses, discouraging physicians and negatively impacting on the nation’s health, while remaining un-affordable for a third of our citizens.  This film was two years in the making, with more than forty voices advocating for reform, including activists, health policy experts, economists, physicians, nurses, patients, business and labor leaders.

Dr. Bill Honigman has been a practicing Emergency Room Physician in Orange County for over 30 years.  He is currently an organizer for the grassroots group Progressive Democrats of America PDA, acting as California State Coordinator and Orange County Chapter Leader, and is a Coordinator for PDA’s national Healthcare Human Rights Issue Organizing Team.

Dr. Deborah Freund is a professor at Claremont Graduate University.  She was president of the university from 2010 to 2015.  Dr. Freund was also former Distinguished Professor of Public Administration and served as Vice Chancellor and Provost for Academic Affairs at Syracuse University.  Dr. Freund is an internationally-recognized health economist, known in particular for her research in the areas of Medicaid, health care outcomes and PharmacoEconomics, a field she is credited with founding.
