Antisemitism in the US has risen by 34% since 2021. As more news agencies are reporting these disturbing incidents, we struggle to find ways to address them. Join us for a discussion of some unique aspects of contemporary antisemitism, factors contributing to their recent resurgence, and how to wield truth in response to antisemitism’s various iterations.
Dan Meisel serves as the Regional Director of the Anti-Defamation League, a leading anti-hate organization that counters antisemitism, extremism, and all forms of bigotry. It’s nearly 110 year-old mission is to “stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all.” Dan was previously a First Amendment and general litigation attorney, and has written and produced the feature film “All She Can.”
Mark Goldstein, Chair of the ADL Santa Barbara/Tri-Counties Regional Board, is an intellectual property attorney at SoCal IP Law Group. Among his many volunteer activities, Mark is active at Temple Etz Chaim in Thousand Oaks, participates in local interfaith activities, and guest lectures at UCSB and CLU.
