Frank Schaeffer is a survivor of both polio and an evangelical/fundamentalist childhood, a New York Times bestselling author who overcame severe dyslexia, a film director, and artist. Son of the late theologian Francis Schaeffer, Frank was a conservative fundamentalist Christian who later changed his views, becoming a liberal Democrat and self-described Christian atheist.
