In December, our theme is the Practice of Presence
The Gift of Presence through Stories of Resilience
Sunday morning at 10am
with Grenda David
Our survival instincts (and the media) encourage us to focus on the worst of what is going on in the world. There is evidence that we are remarkably resilient beings with the capacity to evolve, heal and renew. Presence is the gift of knowing we are not alone as we journey and the holiday season is filled with human rituals of connection and hope that can help us guide our way. Join Grenda as she shares stories of resilience, hope and presence.

December 22–
Bingo! – For younger children up through 3rd grade, we will gather in Room 4. Is it possible to slow down the holidays and have a little fun in the moment? Yes, yes it is!
And….
Crossing Paths will be held at the same time in the Nest. Older children 4th through 8th grade will explore Judaism through stories, music, and games. Please note, this class runs for approximately one hour.
Please join us for our annual Christmas Eve service December 24th at 5pm. We’ll enjoy our traditional songs and stories, all culminating with our beautiful candlelight walk. After the service we’ll enjoy yummy cookies and eggnog, and receive a special visit from Santa Claus!
Each week we will offer book suggestions for all ages, books that celebrate diverse identities, resist stereotypes, and uplift social justice. Whether you choose to purchase the books, borrow them from a friend, or check them out from your local library, we hope you enjoy these stories featuring characters from a wide range of communities.
Regular texts are sent to Chalice families announcing RE activities and special events.
