The Power of Pausing
Sunday morning at 10am
with Rev. Nica Eaton
Our work ethic culture encourages us to keep pushing on, working hard, and getting things done. But sometimes, particularly when the path ahead is unclear, it helps to take a pause, reflect, and listen deeply within. Join us today to explore the uncomfortable tension of pausing amidst the need to progress.

Families welcome! The Joy Corner is open!
Children will be led by the Lamp of Love to their RE spaces partway through the service.
August 25–
Popcorn Summer: The Inspiration of Peace – All of our UU values are inspired by the need and aspiration of peace. How do our faith practices help us create a peaceful world?
Join us this Sunday and throughout the summer as we explore our many Unitarian Universalist values and inspirations.
Each week we will offer book suggestions for all ages, books that celebrate diverse identities, resist stereotypes, and uplift social justice. Whether you choose to purchase the books, borrow them from a friend, or check them out from your local library, we hope you enjoy these stories featuring characters from a wide range of communities.

Dear Chalice families,
We regret to share that, due to unforeseen circumstances, we will be canceling the End-of-Summer Beach Party. We hope to reschedule a gathering in the near future.
Please enjoy your weekend. We look forward to seeing you at Chalice Sunday morning!
With gratitude for your grace,
Sam Dickerson
Director of Lifespan Religious Exploration
Have you signed your family’s photo release?
In an effort to obtain permissions for photography and videography at Chalice and Chalice events, we are reintroducing our media release form. You can find this form through Breeze. We will also have paper copies available at the RE table during the Ingathering celebration on September 8. The Social Media Team is working on updating our photo policy. You can also view Chalice’s Photographer’s Covenant here. If you have questions, you can contact the Social Media Team or Sam Dickerson.
